An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rio de Janeiro. Second ranked BrazilianFlamengo faced one of their biggest challengers Argentinian Obras . Host Flamengo (2-2) smashed guests from Buenos Aires (0-4) 102-66 . Flamengo shot 60.9 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 59.4 percentage. Flamengo players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Guilherme Deodato (192-1991) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Kayo Manfio (203-1999, college: USA) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Five Flamengo players scored in double figures. Joaquin Lopez (205-2005) replied with 12 points and point guard Juan Brussino (185-1991) added 6 points and 7 assists in the effort for Obras. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Flamengo maintains second position with 2-2 record having just six point less than leader Sesi/Franca, which they share with Boca Juniors. Obras at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Univ.Concepcion.
